Project Deen
Project Deen is an initiative of the Noor Islamic Cultural Center to provide Muslim boys in the Columbus area with an opportunity to develop and strengthen their Muslim identity. Every month, boys in grades 4–8 meet up to engage in physical activities, build meaningful relationships with one another, and learn about their faith. We designed this program to be interactive and enjoyable while facilitating engagement with mentors who provide guidance and support.
Examples of past Project Deen activities include a mini-basketball camp facilitated by a former OSU player, ice skating, visiting a trampoline park, and a session on how to build computers. We seek to create an environment of brotherhood and friendship, fostering a sense of belonging among the boys and allowing them to build relationships and share experiences. The program is a safe space for boys to explore their Muslim identity, ask questions, and develop their self-worth and confidence. Project Deen is a proven program that helps young Muslim boys grow and develop into strong, confident, and thriving individuals. It seeks to provide an opportunity for boys to learn, grow, and have fun in an environment that fosters Islamic values and principles. |
