MyNoor
MyNoor is a halaqah tailored for middle school boys and girls. It takes place on Saturdays from 10am to 12pm and covers Quran Memorization/Explanation, Meaningful Discussion, Activity, and Snacks. Session Dates:
Project Deen Project Deen is an initiative aimed at Muslim youth in Columbus in grades 4-8. The program gathers once a month to strengthen Muslim identity, build meaningful relationships, meet mentors, and learn about the deen. More Information: Let Me Run (Boys) Let Me Run is a national program designed to inspire boys through the power of running to be courageous enough to be themselves, to build healthy relationships, and to live an active lifestyle. Noor Islamic Cultural Center's team is available for Grades 4-5. Here is the Registration Link Girls on the Run Girls on the Run is a national program that aims to inspire girls to recognize their inner strength and celebrate what makes them unique through dynamic discussions, activities, and running games. MyImpact The MYImpact Committee is a leadership development initiative for NICC Youth. The program organizes lectures, sports activities, qiyams, fundraisers, awareness campaigns, and the annual NICC Youth Conference. It aims to develop God-consciousness and nurture upright Muslim Youth. What is MYImpact? Eligibility: Applicants must be moving on to grades 9th - 12th, demonstrate good teamwork, volunteer time at NICC, and have an exemplary work ethic. All applicants must go through a mandatory interview. Applications are currently closed; please check our social media and/or home page for upcoming MyImpact events! All-Star Basketball Overview: Noor All-stars Basketball League is an Indoor Basketball program designed for boys in grades 8-12. Sessions are on Saturday mornings from 10AM - 12PM. All-Star Basketball Registration High School Boys Halaqah Our High School Boys Halaqah has been redesigned for 2023-2024. It is a youth-led initiative that aims to connect young people with sacred knowledge in a relatable manner. Sessions are currently on Saturdays at 1:30 pm. Registration is not required. MIST (Muslim Interscholastic Tournament) MIST is a fun, educational, interactive program of competitions and workshops geared towards bringing high school students together from around the nation to develop leadership, communication, and other creative skills, all while experiencing Islamic brotherhood and sisterhood. We will post details as the next MIST session approaches. ACT/SAT Prep Our ACT/SAT Prep program provides targeted instruction and practice tests to prepare students for these critical college entrance exams. Sessions for the current school year are TBD. MUHSEN MUHSEN at NICC is an extension of the national organization MUHSEN. The program aims to establish an inclusive and accessible environment for persons with disabilities through advocacy and education. NICC Youth Strategic Partners: YM Columbus - Girls Halaqah A sub-region of the Young Muslims national organization, NICC Youth is proud to partner with YM Columbus to host enriching sisters activities such as nature walks, painting parties, ice cream socials, and of course halaqahs!
