The Noor Islamic Cultural Center
NICC is looking for an energetic and dynamic Youth Director for our well-established programming and growing community. It is expected that the Youth Director foster a positive youth development culture at NICC that will empower our youth to be proud and righteous Muslims in and outside of their community.
Youth Director will be responsible for creating, implementing and managing youth programming at NICC, as well as recruiting, mentoring, and supervising youth program staff and volunteers. Additionally, he/she must collaborate with other committees and programs at NICC to ensure effective and efficient management of all youth-related activities under one umbrella.

This is a full time, salaried position with benefits requiring a 40+ hour work week. Applicants must be available on Friday evenings and weekends due to the nature of the job.
Compensation is highly competitive and negotiable based on skills and experience.

Education & Experience Requirements:
- Must have attained at least a Bachelor’s degree, preferably in psychology, sociology, counseling or other related fields.
- Must have at least two years experience working with Muslim youth in North America, including the conception, planning, and implementation of programs.
- Must have experience in management, which could include performance evaluation, mentorship experience and teambuilding.
- Knowledge or experience in the implementation of positive youth development or tarbiyah within programming.
Skills & Qualifications:
- Excellent communication and public speaking skills with various age groups in the community.
- Ability to connect to youth as a mentor and leader.
- Possess a good foundation of Islamic knowledge and character.
- A background or experience in counseling is not necessary but preferred.
- Grant writing experience is a plus.
